Adding a credit card transaction to the expense report is described in the article - Add a Credit Card charge to an Expense Report
This article explains some of the additional options you have when adding a credit card transaction.
Linking a Credit card charge with a Captured Expense
Many times when we capture a receipt image, we have a credit card charge that was used to actually pay for it. While the receipt is captured as a captured expense right away, the credit card transaction may take a few days to appear on the Credit Card statement. AppZen enables you to link a Credit Card transaction to the expense you have captured earlier and add it to the report for submission. This feature is available on both Mobile and Web.
Capture your expenses as shown in the article - Capture Receipts & Expenses from Mobile
You can link the credit card transaction with a captured expense in two ways:
With the Auto Create feature
Create an expense report using the option Let me MANUALLY select the expenses. Tap on Credit Card Charges on the bottom menu bar
All of your corporate and personal credit transactions are available here. On the Credit Card charge you want to link to a captured expense, swipe your finger across the credit card charge to the right and you will see a list of your captured expenses.
Select on the Captured Receipt you want to link to the Credit Card transaction and tap the Link button on the top right of your screen
Your captured receipt is now linked with the Credit Card charge and you can see a link icon beside the Credit Card charge. Now select this charge and click on Add (+) button on the top menu bar.
Your Credit Card charge is now linked with the Captured Expense and all the information from the Captured Expense including receipt image, justification, etc is copied over to the Credit Card transaction when the Credit Card transaction is added to the expense report. You can add more expenses and proceed with submitting or save the report for future use
Note - In case of a mismatch or you need to unlink the captured expense to use it for any other expense, swipe your finger across the linked Credit Card charge to the right and click on UnLink. Your Captured Expense is now unlinked and available for future use.
Using the Auto Create Feature -
When you create an Expense Report using the Auto Create feature, the Captured Expense is automatically linked to a Credit Card line so long as the captured expense has the same amount and date as the Credit Card charge.
Tap on Create Expense Report, give the purpose of your report
Now select the option Automatically using an expense DATE RANGE
Choose the date range of your expenses you want to add to the Expense Report
If the Captured Expense is on the same date as the credit charge and the amount matches on both, the expense is added and the report is generated with the expense added. You can see the link icon added to the line indicating the Captured Expense is linked with the credit charge.
You can now proceed with adding / editing the report for submission or save it for future use.
